CBSE schools in Ajman charge AED 4,800 to AED 14,900 a year in tuition, depending on the school and grade. There is one catch. Ajman’s first published ratings placed every rated CBSE school at Acceptable, so fees, results, and commute do the real sorting.
This guide covers seven top CBSE schools in Ajman, with locations, phone numbers, and fees from each school’s fee page. You will also learn how the curriculum works, what admission needs, and why fees online often disagree.
Why Families Choose CBSE Schools in Ajman
Cost is the first draw. No school on our list charges more than AED 15,000 in tuition. Several stay under AED 10,000 through Grade 10. Most follow an April to March year. Several split into boys and girls sections from Grade 4 or 5.

What Ajman’s School Ratings Actually Say
Ajman’s Private Education Affairs Office published its first school ratings for 2023-24. According to WhichSchoolAdvisor, every rated CBSE school landed on Acceptable. No Ajman school of any curriculum reached Very Good or Outstanding.
That does not make these schools weak. It means ratings cannot separate them yet, so ask each school for its latest result and board pass rates. The UAE Ministry of Education also oversees private schools in Ajman.

A Closer Look at the Top CBSE Schools in Ajman
Fee ranges only tell part of the story. Here is who each school suits best.
Delhi Private School Ajman
Best for facilities. The campus has science and robotics labs, four swimming pools, and clubs from STEM to Model UN. Classes stay co-ed through Grade 4, then separate. Discounted 2026-27 fees run AED 8,900 to AED 14,900, against a Ministry approved ceiling of AED 15,000.
City School Ajman
Best for families with siblings. City School serves more than 2,300 students on a 46,450 square meter campus. Second languages include Hindi, French, Malayalam, Urdu, and Bangla. Fees run in three installments with nothing charged for July and August. A second child earns a 15% discount.
Woodlem Park School
Best for STEAM learning. Opened in 2017 in Al Jurf, Woodlem Park runs separate boys and girls wings. It adds a STEAM lab and a campus pool. Published fees differ by source, so ask admissions for the current schedule.
International Indian School Ajman
Best for budget and community. Founded in 2002, IIS belongs to the Habitat Schools group and educates about 5,200 students from 46 nationalities. It offers Cyber Square coding and an organic farm. Public board result data is thin, so ask for pass rates.
Global Indian School Ajman
Best for smaller classes. Started in 1988 as Indian School Ajman, GIS moved to a purpose built Al Jurf campus in 2020. It reports class sizes under 30. Tuition for 2025-26 runs AED 600 to AED 975 a month over ten months, plus AED 500 yearly. A third child gets 25% off.
The Royal Academy
Best for the lowest fees. Royal Academy starts at AED 4,800 and gives 5% off for paying the full year upfront. It offers six second languages and an inclusion room for students who need extra support.
Al Ameer English School
Best for a long track record. Founded in 1991 behind Ajman City Centre, Al Ameer has about 110 teachers. Boys and girls study in separate sections from Grade 4. Reported tuition runs AED 4,900 to AED 10,300, so confirm the current schedule.
How the CBSE Curriculum Works in Ajman
CBSE schools in Ajman teach the Indian national curriculum alongside UAE Ministry subjects. Arabic, UAE Social Studies, and Islamic or Moral Education sit beside the core CBSE subjects. Board exams arrive in Grades 10 and 12.
One change matters for 2026. Grade 10 now has two board exam windows. February is mandatory, and an optional May exam lets students improve up to three subjects. Grades 11 and 12 usually split into Science or Commerce, so strong Mathematics early pays off. Many families add maths tutors in Ajman before Grade 9.
Schools typically ask for birth certificate, passport, visa, and Emirates ID copies for the child and sponsor. Bring the vaccination card, four photos, the latest report card, and the original transfer certificate. Transfer certificates from other emirates need Ministry attestation. Every admission needs Ministry approval.
How to Choose the Right CBSE School
Price should not be the only filter. Ask these before you commit.
- What is the school’s latest Ajman rating, and can it share board pass rates in writing
- Does it publish a CBSE mandatory disclosure page, as DPS, GIS, and Royal Academy do
- Does it teach through Grade 12 and offer the stream your child wants
- Which fee applies, and what does school transport add
- How long is the real commute at school run time
- What are class sizes and learning support like at your child’s grade

Supporting Your Child Outside the Classroom
A new school or board often leaves gaps in the first term. A tutor who knows the CBSE syllabus can close them fast. That helps with Grade 10 board prep, the May improvement exam, and core subjects. Lessons can start before term begins.
